Love is Enough for Syria

Today I believe love is enough,

Even when Syria kills its own kids with gas,

The world gasping with their dying breaths.

Today I believe past political narcissism.

Love knows how to scoop up broken bodies,

Bind screams,

Embrace avengers.

Even when the power-hungry tires to trump

It’s gentle kiss,

Love says, “Enough.”Tweet This

I do not understand her fluid, healing tongue.

I watch it speak swiftly, and I use my own.

Respond to the Syria Chemical Attack

Preemptive Love Coalition is on the ground helping those in Syria. You can respond in love with them to help those affected by the tragedy.

Five Minute Friday Retreat

This post is part of the Five Minute Friday crew, a community of creative writers. Today our one-word writing prompt was ENOUGH.

P.S. If you’re looking for an inexpensive creatively-inspiring writing retreat this summer, come to the Five Minute Friday retreat July 21-23. Just twelve spots left! I know a few people are on the fence about it. Here are three reasons you should go:

  1. There may or may not be wood-fired pizza. Ahem.
  2. It’s what all the cool people are doing.
  3. Yo! It’s about time you invested in your calling.

Wait, wood-fired pizza?! Oh my great golly goodness! This is going to be fabulous! Do you have a guitar? (I’m hesitant to bring mine on an airplane because I don’t want it damaged)
And Love. Yes. Love is the opposite of hate. And it is through our love and compassion that we confound and confuse the hearts of those who know not our Savior.
    Thank you, my friend.
    Love,

Love does have to be enough! It’s what I cling to in the midst of all the evil. Thank You for these words friends. I’m in the 39 spot this week.

Love has to be enough, doesn’t it, or we would all lose hope forever… Love is the helpers, the broken-hearted, the One whose tears overflow like rivers… Thank you for your brave and beautiful post xx

    Great post, Christina.

And sometimes love carries an M4, and brings the whole world down on the heads of those who would harm the innocents.

They say love hurts. It can also BRING the hurt.

And sometimes love stays behind, forever, a grave forgotten by a back-to-the-mall society, but never forgotten by God.

And I have friends in Paradise.

  • Today I believe love is enough…yes! His love for this broken down world surpasses any kind of heartwreck we’re experiencing. And He will avenge, heal, restore… we just need to believe.
Believing with you, Christina! And visiting today from #47 at the #fmf! Blessings!
